The Cephadrome is a Piscine that dwells in the sand and is able to zip around just under the surface. It is very similar to the water based wyvern, Plesioth. It is also the boss version of the Cephalos, and is often surrounded by them when you encounter it.

Its nickname is the Land Shark because while it is moving around it looks like a shark in the sand, with it's top fin exposed. An interesting fact to note is that the Cephadrome derives its name from the Greek word for head, kephale. The Cephadrome utilises sand attacks, as well as occasional body thrusts. One of the most annoying aspects of the Cephadrome is the fact that it stays underground, where it is very hard to attack. Whilst submerged, it often doesn't come out without the aid of well-aimed Sonic Bombs or a carefully placed barrel bomb, or if timed very well, a charged hit from a Great Sword or Hammer. It is only found in the Desert.

[edit] Tips

  • The Cephadrome has a large elemental weakness to both Fire and Thunder.
  • The Cephadrome is easily distinguished from Cephalos by both its size and very dark skin.
  • Similar to the Plesioth, the Cephadrome's Dorsal Fin can be broken. It also lowers when the Cephadrome is injured and ready to be captured.

For Blademasters:(with ice dual blades)The best way to lure a Cephadrome is to use sonic bombs to draw it out, then attack while it is writhing on the sand.

P.S.Devil Dance reccomended (left then triangle+circle)
