Ok, so you've seen these little crabs in various places, and you're wondering what the hell they are. They are Hermitaurs. Basically they are the small minions of the Daimyo Hermitaur, a much nastier predator. Hermitaurs aren't good for much, just the materials you can carve from them, and they don't pose too much of a problem - although they can be a bit of a pain in the backside if there are a lot of them and you are trying to focus on a bigger monster.

Also the distant relatives of the Ceanataur.

The are mostly red in colour, and move with surprising speed, aim to kill them quickly otherwise they'll literally run rings around you.
