First AppearanceMonster Hunter (PS2)

The Iodrome is the leader of a pack of Iopreys. It has a large purple crest, and is several times bigger than you. Bigger, badder, stronger, scarier, uglier, more poisonous; these things take a beating, as they are considered to be the most powerful of all the Velociraptors. You will have to take a lot of antidotes to combat the numerous doses of poison that will come your way. Found in the volcano and swamp, the Iodrome is hard to battle, but apart from a poisonous breath attack, follows the same attack pattern as a Velocidrome. It can summon other Iopreys to help defend itself. It will try to flee to another area when it sense mortal danger to itself.

Attacks:

  • Poison Spit: fires a glob of poisonous material at you. It has slow start-up and short range.
  • Bite: A simple bite forwards. Low damage and easy to dodge.
  • Jump: Its most powerful attack, it jumps a surprising distance at you and attempts to strike it with its talons.

[edit] Carves

  • Poison Sac
  • Iodrome Hide
  • Iodrome skull(rare)
  • Ioprey scale
