|Guardians of the Jaggi Nest|
|Monster Type||Bird Wyvern|
|First Appearance||Monster Hunter Tri|
Jaggia are the female counterpart of the prey Jaggi and live mainly in warm climates. They live in packs and create a nest within a closed off area, usually littered with multiple bone piles. Their nests are also close to small narrow pathways in order to easily navigate the surrounding terrain. Their emphasis within the pack is fairly minimal, maintain a close contact to their nest.
The Jaggia has a Alpha-Male counter part known as the Great Jaggi, which is much larger and more ferocious.
 General Information
Official Guild Entry: "Currently None"
Appearance: Small body shape, with small arms, claws and strong legs. They are covered in a predominantly purple colored hide with an orange underbelly, which would perhaps emphasise their aptitude with the warm climates. Their heads are small with flapped ears, pointed jaws and small orange eyes. The tail is large and not spiked. The eyes are able to prevent the sand from obscuring their vision when out in the Sandy Plains
Nature: Aggressive, they mainly congregate in within Jaggi packs, usually within well lit areas close to both Aptonoth herds (Used as a food source) as well as their nest. Around 3 Jaggia at once can be found nesting or moving within each herd. Most are usually accompanied by a Great Jaggi Alpha Male as the pack leader. Their pack is always accompanied by Jaggi.
Jaggia will caw in order to signal to others within the area as well as surrounding area when they notice an enemy. Their tactics usually involve attacking in groups.
Jaggi attack by closing in on their enemies and biting at them. They can occasionally spin and flick their tail at them. Similar to the [Great Jaggi]], Jaggia will also attempt to thrust their hips in the direction of the enemy in order to knock them off their feet.
In the presences of an Great Jaggi, they follow commands of the Alpha Male and are willing to attack even the largest of wyverns. If the leader is incapacitated in anyway though, their formation breaks and sometimes they'll start snapping at each other in confusion.
 Hunter's Tips
- Jaggia have a fear of fire but are much more brave when compared to Jaggi. The presence of the torch will cause the surrounding Jaggi to keep their distance, but still attempt to attack the opponent conservatively. When close to the torch they will begin to caw and then jump back.
- Hitting a Jaggia with a torch multiple times will intimidate it enough to leave the area.
Jaggia can only be carve a maximum of 1 time.
