[edit] Background

Monster Hunter Frontier is a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) for the PC. It shows more promise than any other game in the series, entirely from the fact that it can be constantly updated through the internet.

[edit] Gameplay

The gameplay mechanics don't differ from Frontier's brothers in the series. Players can accept a quest from the guild and include up to three party members. The players then head out into the quest area and meet the requirements before the timer runs out. Items can be gathered from slain monsters to build weapons and armor, and the process is repeated. Features: Frontier contains every feature from the latest Monster Hunter games and more. Towns are larger; they can support more players. There is an active day / night and season system, and the setting differs depending on the time. New monsters, features, equipment and more are constantly being added through patches in the game. Frontier has an advanced Guild system, crafting system and quest system, as well.

[edit] New and Exclusive Monsters

An expansion from the range that MHF2 had, MH Frontier offered new monsters, including:

However, the release of MHP2ndG led to Hypnoctrice and Lavasioth ported to the portable system, leaving Espinas and Akala Vashimu (As well as type variations) as Monster Hunter Frontier Exclusive.

[edit] Min System Requirements

The minimum system requirements for Monster Hunter Frontier is low considering a game of it's quality. A 1.0 GHz processor, 256 MB of RAM, a video card supporting DirectX 8.1 or higher with 64 MB of VRAM, and a 16bit soundcard are all that is needed.

The game also supports a headset for audio communication and a USB controller specialized for the game.
