Monster Hunter G is the the expansion pack Monster Hunter on the PS2. It doesn't offer too much of an upgrade, besides the new Dual Sword weapon and new monsters including the Azure Rathalos, as pictured on the cover.

An improved chatting and search interface in addition to allowing players to walk around town with their weapons. A sorting option has been added to the item pouches and boxes as well, and brand new weapons, color variations, and missions have been added to the initial lineup to help support an all-new twin blade weapon style.

A majority of these features were included with the European and North American release of Monster Hunter and as such, G was never ported outside of Japan. The game was later remade, with even more features, on the PSP as Monster Hunter Freedom (PSP).
