[edit] Plot

It is a world full of monsters and adventurers who hunt them. They are called Monster Hunters. The plot revolves around a young Monster Hunter, Shiki. When Shiki was a young boy, he was taken as an apprentice to a Monster Hunter named Gurelli, but it was not too long after that Gurelli was killed by a gunpowder accident. After a few years, he comes back to Akamaaya Town (where his master resided) to join the guild there. In that guild, he meets a girl called Irie and after a series of events, he finds that she is the daughter of his master. From this point onwards, they form a party to find the legendary Miogaruna, which was Gurelli's life-long ambition.

[edit] Shiki Ryuhou

Shiki is a young hunter who was one time found in the deep jungle by his future master, Gurelli Jescar, when his master was in about to battle a Kushlala Daora. Gurelli was impressed right then by Shiki, as he saw Shiki run straight into the Daora's Wind Aura with no complications at all, even though most everyone falls over. It was speculated by Gurelli that Shiki can "see the wind". Since then, Gurelli had trained Shiki in the use of Dual Swords. Shiki as a person is happy-go lucky to the point of annoying, continually confident, and carries complete trust in his friends and comerades.

His weapons are a fictional dual swords of the Wind element. Supposedly his weapons are made from a Miogaruna, the manga's fictional final boss.

[edit] Irie Jescar

Irie Jescar is the daughter of a Gurelli Jescar, who happened to be Shiki's master. She grew up with friends, and hoped to carry on her father's dream of slaying the Miogaruna (despite constant ridicule). She became grating and irritable after a betrayal by her supposed friends. Once, she needed money (appox. 30,000z) to travel. Wanting to surprise Irie after a hunt, her friends reported a Gypceros quest as failed after they slew it, and sold the parts on the black market to a man named Shadow. They became greedy, and planned to amass more and more money by poaching. After Irie turned everyone in, including herself, they shunned her, and she lost her friends. In the end, she finds new friends in her hunting party.

Irie uses Longswords, in particular, the Iron Katana line.

Weapon/Weapons: Iron Katana 'Gospel' -> Eager Cleaver -> Devil Slicer

At the end page, she is seen to be wearing Kirin Armor.
